At the Annual Meeting we will review the year's accomplishments, elect new officers and board members, and conduct organizational business. We will also honor this year's Best Friends of the Reedy River, Gaye Sprague, who has been a champion of the environment and the Reedy River for many years.
Lisa Wells, Environmental Engineer with the City of Greenville, will share the exciting work that will be happening at McPherson Park in the coming year thanks to EPA Clean Water Act Section 319 grant funding. Features of the park improvements include stream restoration, regenerative conveyance structures, and installation of green infrastructure practices such as bioretention and pervious pavement. It might sound technical but you will want to hear about how these initiatives are setting the stage for how the City hopes to improve water quality for the City and the Reedy!
